About Ocutune
Born in research. Built for use.
We study how light shapes health, well-being and nature — together with some of the world's leading universities. Then we turn that knowledge into sensors and software others can build on.
Light & disease
How light dose, timing and history relate to sleep disorders, mood and long-term health.
Light & well-being
What the right light does for alertness, performance and comfort at work, in sport and in care.
Light & biodiversity
How street and park lighting affects the circadian rhythms of insects and animals.

CDO & Partner

Ocutune's greatest asset — the expert behind every sensor, algorithm and light recommendation we make.
Lighting expert and constructing architect specialising in light, indoor climate and circadian health — with more than 15 years of public work on how light affects people, from healing architecture to street lighting and biodiversity.
Invited to speak at Stanford Center for Sleep & Circadian Sciences (Prof. Jamie Zeitzer's lab) on integrative lighting and α-opic light loggers for circadian health.

Building Green

Co-founder & CEO
Daniel Bachmann
A lifetime of international sales — building distribution channels across all of EMEA.
Daniel has spent his career selling technology internationally and building the distributor, installer and partner networks that take products from one market to many. At Ocutune he turns Joachim's research into partnerships: OEM and ODM licences, lighting manufacturers and the channels that reach offices, care homes and cities.
Science from Joachim. Scale from Daniel. That's the pairing behind Ocutune.

Where our knowledge comes from.
Ocutune's products were developed with DTU and are discussed in the labs that define circadian science.
Integrative Lighting Sensor (2022): Ocutune led the project with DTU's Diode Lasers and LED Systems group and Holscher Design — the origin of OcuWEAR.
DTU Orbit
A new sensor that measures how street lighting affects the circadian rhythms of animals and insects, tested in the Danish Outdoor Lighting Lab.
We Build Denmark, 2023–24
